WE ARE...

A narrative design firm of writers, illustrators, musicians and technicians, StringThink operates its web-based offices out of Cincinnati, Ohio and frequently uses its connections to pull in all the best talents for the right jobs.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At StringThink, we believe the most powerful human tool is the capacity to tell stories. Stories bind us, allow us to share experiences and provide us with history and commonality. It’s a connection we all share—conveying a string of events to depict who we are, how we think, where we’ve come from and what we’re striving for.

Stories are about connecting to other people, and that connection should be an unforgettable experience. That’s what we believe, and that’s what we’ve dedicated our lives to doing.

A BRIEF HISTORY

“I have the best idea…”

StringThink began as a way to bring people together to tell stories. The way we figure it, a big problem with the way the world works is, even with all our technology, the people with resources get to tell their stories, and the people without those resources end up settling for less. We didn’t start with much money, but we decided that the one thing we did have was a collection of talents that—when combined in a common purpose—might achieve wonderful, inspiring, beautiful things.

We began our venture in 2005 in a small apartment over cups of coffee, and we still find ourselves discussing projects in much the same way (though we now have more equipment and people). Our goal of helping our clients to tell their stories hasn’t changed much, though our dreams have expanded with time.

Today, as we embark on ever larger projects, we still believe in every individual’s capacity to convey themselves and their ideas through narrative. As a result, we encourage every person who comes into contact with our stories to approach us with ideas of their own. Dream big. You never know—your ‘best idea’ might just become a reality.

Daniel Armstrong is our lead visual designer. Through storyboards, illustration, and even some writing, he weaves stories guaranteed to be visually tasty. He gets the majority of his ideas from his own dreams and so is still trying to convince people to pay him for sleeping. He lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with his wife and two children, who continually inspire him to dream for a brighter, better, more imaginative world.
